Daughters of the American Revolution is a lineage society whose members share a love of country and a rich heritage. We are each a lineal descendant of a patriot who gave aid or was a soldier in the American Revolutionary War, that paved the way for the freedoms we so enjoy today.

We actively support our modern-day patriots with prayer and heartfelt gratitude for what they are doing to protect us both here at home and on the battlefields far away.

We take pride in our membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution we foster true patriotism, education, and historical preservation.

Today’s
DAR is active in a multitude of ways; but it’s all about the American Spirit; which is the name of our monthly magazine that keeps us informed and inspired.

A
new DAR administration is in place with the theme “The Spirit of Hospitality Opens Doors of Opportunity.”  This too is the spirit of Ottawa. We welcome new members, work with prospective members, and encourage inactive members with an enjoyable DAR experience.

Learn
through a committee of your own interest and abilities. We implement projects and work together in service to God, Home, and Country.  This year in Port Huron, the Maritime Capital of the Great Lakes, we look forward to opening new doors of opportunity. As descendants of the founders of our country, we are duty bound to influence and create a deeper love of the United States of America in our own community.

The Ottawa Chapter DAR is proud of our association with the local chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.
